Debt Management ProcessWhat is the process to complete Debt Management with The Debt Support Company STEP 1 Contact made by client, where possible we want this to be free, so please contact our freephone number 0800 043 1230 from a BT land line, or we can arrange to call you back to your mobile phone to ensure that our advice is given free. We will give a free consultation over the phone to gain a full understanding of the client's requirements and potential solutions. We will then ensure that the client has a full understanding on how best to resolve their debt issues. This will normally take 15-20 minutes. STEP 2 If Debt Management is the correct debt solution will then conduct a telephone interview to establish your personal details, who the creditors are and how much is owed. We will conduct a full financial review with the client to establish their monthly income and their monthly expenditure, when completing this it is critical to ensure that the client has enough money available to maintain a reasonable standard of living before they pay their unsecured credit. This will normally take around 30 minutes. STEP 3 We will send out a Welcome Pack which will include the following: • A copy of your Income and Expenditure We will ask you to read, sign and send back information to ensure that the telephone interview has been completed correctly and that you have read and understood out terms of Business. When all the required information is sent back with a commitment for payment we are able to move onto step 4. STEP 4 We will negotiate a payment plan, along with the possible reduction and/or freezing of interest rates to your creditors. We will keep you constantly update of our progress After the payment plan is agreed, we will then review your account every 6 months to ensure that we are doing everything in our control to best service your debt. |
